Dear Downingtown Borough and East Caln friends and neighbors,

As our communities continue to grow, the Downingtown Fire Department has been busier than ever responding to a record number of calls last year in 2024.  Alert Fire Company #1 and Minquas Fire Company #2 rely on volunteers around the clock to answer your call for service. We are asking for your assistance in helping us to protect your home, business, and family as this trend of increased emergencies is expected to continue. 

Our volunteers respond day and night, available at a moment’s notice. Members spend countless hours away from their families training, and making sure we are ready to provide the highest level of emergency services when the time comes. In addition to our fire responses, we are also involved in numerous community events such as our fire prevention school visits. In recent years, we have seen less than 15% of fund drive mailers returned.
